Know what you need to order. Keep customers informed.
Live Supply is a Shopify app for stores that sell a mix of stocked and special-order products. It works out what each open order is waiting on, turns shortages into supplier purchase orders, and helps you tell customers when their order will ship.
Each unfulfilled line shows whether it's ready to ship, on its way from a supplier, or still to order, with an expected dispatch date.
When customers are waiting on something you don't have, a draft purchase order for that supplier is ready to check and send.
Receive split deliveries, spread freight and duty across the order, and see the margin you actually made.
Write an order update in one click, check it, then send it from your own Gmail so replies come straight back to you.
How it works
Install the app from your Shopify admin. It reads your orders and products from Shopify. You mark which suppliers you keep in stock and add starting counts (copied from one Shopify location, or entered by hand). From then on Live Supply gives every open order line a status and an expected dispatch date, and keeps them current as orders and deliveries come in. It never changes your Shopify inventory.
Why the app asks for Gmail access
Connecting Gmail is optional. If you connect it, the app uses Google's gmail.send permission for one thing only: sending the order update and purchase order emails you write and approve in the app, from your own email address. Every email is shown to you first and only sends when you press Send and confirm.
The app cannot read, search, label or delete anything in your mailbox. It stores your Gmail address (so you can see which account is connected) and the access token Google provides, encrypted, and deletes both when you disconnect or uninstall. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
Who makes it
Live Supply is made by Barter Agencies on the Gold Coast, Australia. It started as the order desk for an Australian retailer and is still used there every day. Questions or support: drew@barteragencies.com.
